FLIR Systems - M400 30Hz Multi-Sensor Thermal/Visable Camera - With JCU2
Advanced Marine Surveillance and Navigation
The FLIR Systems M400 is a high-performance multi-sensor thermal camera designed for marine applications, providing exceptional target identification in both short and long-range conditions. Engineered for demanding environments, this camera features a 640x480 thermal sensor, HD low-light color camera, and an integrated LED spotlight to enhance visibility in total darkness. The M400’s gyro-stabilized pan-and-tilt design ensures steady viewing, even in rough sea conditions, making it an indispensable tool for enhanced navigation and situational awareness.
High-Precision Thermal and Optical Imaging
Equipped with FLIR’s Digital Detail Enhancement (DDE) technology, the M400 delivers sharp, high-contrast thermal images, even in extreme temperature variations. Its continuous optical thermal zoom lens (1x to 4x) allows users to detect vessels, obstacles, and other potential hazards at extended distances. Additionally, the integrated HD color camera with a 30x optical zoom provides detailed daytime and low-light imaging, ensuring superior situational awareness.
Gyro-Stabilized Performance for Harsh Marine Conditions
Designed to withstand demanding marine conditions, the M400 is housed in a rugged, waterproof gimbal enclosure with 360° continuous pan and ±90° tilt capabilities. Its active gyrostabilization ensures smooth and steady imaging, even in turbulent waters.
Integrated LED Spotlight for Enhanced Visibility
A built-in high-intensity LED spotlight with a 5° divergence angle and 580-lumen output provides additional illumination for enhanced target identification and improved nighttime navigation.
Seamless Integration with Marine Navigation Systems
The M400 supports multiple integration options, including IP control via FLIR’s Joystick Control Unit (JCU2), PC, and web browser interfaces. It is compatible with leading multifunction navigation displays through the Nexus SDK and FLIR Sensors Manager. Additional support for RS-485/422 serial control (Pelco D) and NMEA 0183 serial communication enables radar tracking and seamless system interoperability.
