This all-in-one unit features a cylinder, pump, motor, clutch, and reservoir in a pre-filled, sealed assembly, minimizing maintenance and maximizing performance. When the clutch is disengaged, the cylinder moves freely with the primary steering. In autopilot mode, the course computer engages the clutch solenoid coil and operates the bi-directional motor to extend or retract the ram, ensuring smooth and responsive steering control. Built-in internal relief valves offer added protection against rudder strikes and grounding, safeguarding both the unit and its mountings.
