Unlike plaited anchor lines, this rope offers a more budget-friendly alternative while maintaining the durability required for frequent marine use. Its 3-strand construction allows for effective stowage in the anchor locker, relying on gravity rather than mechanical storage by the windlass itself.
This rope is particularly well-suited for marine applications but requires periodic maintenance. Over time, saltwater exposure can cause stiffening; however, soaking the rope in fresh water with fabric softener overnight helps restore flexibility. If stiffness persists after treatment, replacing the rope is recommended for optimal performance.
